Where do we start? Whether you're looking for fruity juice, a touch of mint or menthol, tobacco e liquids or the taste of your favourite drinks, you'll find it here, not to mention dessert flavours (like Dinner Lady's Lemon Tart - an e liquid UK classic now popular the world over!). You can also find confectionery e-juice, cereal e liquids and some exotic eliquid flavour combinations that you would never have thought of in a million years. Fruit flavours tend to be the most popular but tastes vary dramatically so if Green Apple, Forest Fruits and Berry Fruits don’t appeal there’s always Pear Drops, Traditional Tobacco flavours and Iced Mint to explore. Whichever flavour types you fancy trying, you will find them right here!
If you already have some firm favourites, don’t let that stop you from trying something new, and if you are just beginning your vaping journey, you're in for a serious treat! There’s a different flavour for every day of the year, and then some! If you don’t know where to start, just think of some of your favourite foods, drinks and snacks and look for those. Alternatively, tobacco flavours (like Virginia Tobacco) are a great pick if you are trying to quit smoking and fruity juices like fresh apple, tropical fruit or melon eliquid are perennial vapers’ favourites, so you can’t go wrong with those. Menthol e liquids are vibrant and refreshing, and you also have a cornucopia of candy and bakery (think Danish Pastries or doughnuts, mmm, doughnuts...) vape juices to discover too.
If all else fails, opt for eeny, meeny, miny, moe! And, just in case you were wondering, that's a means of making your choice, not a flavour!

Making Music - E-Liquid Ingredients
So, there are many great eliquid flavours but you might be wondering what e liquids are actually made of. The exciting and exotic flavours belie the fact that there are only five main ingredients in e-juice:
- Nicotine – nicotine e liquids are available at various concentrations from 0mg to 20mg. You will find the nicotine levels which suit your needs. Some of our elquids now feature salt nicotine. There’s a full explanation of the whys and wherefores on our nic salts page. All you need you need to know right now is that nic salts provide a longer-lasting and smoother hit – ideal if there are extended periods when you cannot vape.
- Propylene Glycol (PG) – eliquids generally contain between 20% and 80% propylene glycol. High PG e liquids are thinner in consistency than high VG e-liquids. PG is a synthetic organic compound which is colourless, odourless and flavourless. It carries flavour well and provides a great throat hit.
- Vegetable Glycerine (VG) – This ingredient is responsible for the amount of vapour that you produce but does not carry flavour as effectively as PG and delivers a smoother throat hit. Juice which is high in VG can only be used in sub-ohm tanks.
- Distilled Water – ‘nuff said
- Flavourings – food grade flavourings create the delicious taste experiences provided by your juice. Talented flavourists at the e liquid brands are skilled at creating flavour blends which really work.
Vaping accessories – Ok so they’re not ingredients but we just wanted to remind you that you will find all of the vaping accessories you need at Vapester in addition to an amazing range of e liquid flavours.
It’s all about that Base with Vape Juice!
When choosing juice for your electronic cigarettes you will see the proportion of PG and VG quoted on the product listings and packaging. This is the base liquid ratio and it is important to choose e liquids which suit your vaping taste and your equipment. High vegetable glycerine (VG) e liquids are only suitable for sub ohm vaping hardware, that is vaping devices, box mods and vape tanks which feature atomizer heads (like the popular Aspire coils and Smok coils) with resistances of less than 1 Ohm. High VG juice will quickly clog up many starter kits and beginner’s vaping devices. If you are looking for a serious throat hit then propylene glycol (PG) is your best friend, but for impressive vapour production and cloud chasing you need to max out your VG. By the way, we only stock quality eliquid with pharmaceutical grade ingredients!
Can You Feel the Force? – Nicotine Strengths
There are many reasons why vaping can help you to quit smoking but the nicotine in the juice is certainly one of them. E liquids feature a variety of nicotine strengths, and most flavours are available in at least three different strengths. Of course, you can also choose to vape juice which is nicotine free. Nicotine strength is expressed in milligrams per millilitre of juice, for example 12mg. This is equal to 1.2% by volume.
The nicotine strength that you need to satisfy your cravings will vary according to how many cigarettes you used to smoke each day. Here’s a rough guide to help you decide:
It is important to note that high VG juices tend to be available only in strengths of up to 6mg. To cut a long story short, this is because they are suitable only for sub ohm vape kits which deliver a more potent hit from each puff.
Looking for a Big Shot? – E Liquid Bottle Sizes & Short Fills
Thanks to the European Tobacco Directive, vaping liquid containing nicotine eilquids are now only available in teeny-weeny 10ml bottles, which is frankly rather inconvenient. However, if you're looking for a bigger shot of your favourite flavour than 10ml eliquid, then there are always our multi-buys! Some juice is also available in packs of three or four packs. More recently we've seen the introduction, and rapid adoption of, short fill e liquids also known as shake 'n' vape eliquids. Here, nicotine-free e liquids are supplied in larger bottles which are not filled to their capacity. You simply add the required nicotine shots (or 'nicotine salts' boosters like the ones produced by Element) yourself. Cool idea eh? Not all brands currently offer short fills, but more are appearing every day and short fill e liquids are a phenomenon that look to be here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future (or until the government update the rules to close what is, effectively, a loophole).
What's the catch?
Due to the basic maths involved it is only really possible to make shortfills up to 3mg strength. Most short fills eliquids are supplied as either 50ml of liquid (in 60ml bottles) or 100ml (in 120ml bottles). With a 50ml short fill you add one 10ml 18mg-strength 'nicotine shot' to create 60ml of 3mg juice. With the 100ml you'll need to add two 18mg nic shots to bring the liquid up to the required 3mg. You do also find some 80ml short fills where you get 80ml of liquid and you add two 10ml 15mg nicotine shots. Generally though the 50ml short is proving to be the most popular.
Theroetically, you could increase the ratio of nicotine shots to nicotine-free juice BUT, you need to remember that the nic shots are flavourless, and will hence dilute the flavour of your chosen liquid. Most people would probably not notice a small dilution, but the greater the ratio of flavourless to flavoured liquid, the weaker the flavour will be. Some manufacturers have talked about increasing the strength of their zero mg liquids to mitigate this, but as yet this is not common practice.
So, for now, short-fills remain almost exclusively high VG liquids suitable for sub ohm vape kits and vape mods. If you want to buy eliquid in 6mg, 12mg and 18mg strengths you'll be limited to 10ml bottles, for now at least. Rumours are that the government will look to relax these unpopular rules in 2020 so hopefully the world of electronic cigarettes will expand even further and even more of the remaining 9 million smokers in the United Kingdom (yes, really, 9 million!!!) will find the strength to quit for good.
So what's it going to be?
There’s much to consider when choosing your juice but don’t panic!

We offer high VG e liquids, high PG e liquids and ranges with a variety of bases.
We are sure that you will enjoy exploring the benefits of vaping.
