Elf Bars are all the rage among vapers right now. These brightly-coloured devices are everywhere – from the local park to the local pub, someone is vaping them. And they’re not going away any time soon, as sales continue to go through the roof.
But, inevitably, the more popular these pocket-friendly devices become, the more questions will arise from people who are unfamiliar with them. If you’re one of those people, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve covered the 10 most common and essential questions about the Elf Bar below.
Since then, it’s become one of the world’s leading brands for high-quality disposable vape pens, introduced a whole new range of flavours, and expanded its offering to include rechargeable pod kits with prefilled pods.
Each Elf Bar undergoes the strictest quality control measures to ensure a premium experience for users and is produced using the lowest harm materials.
Furthermore, Elf Bars are tested and submitted under the UK’s Tobacco and Related Products Regulations. This legislation ensures that you’re getting a safe, high-quality vaping product.
Elf Bars come in an array of colours that are pleasing to the eye and set them apart from other vapes.
They also have a sleek, cylindrical shape that’s synonymous with classic vapes. In fact, it’s become synonymous with Elf Bar as a brand.
Elf Bars are pocket-friendly, too. You can fit them in the palm of your hand, which is ideal if you’re an on-the-go vaper.
Elf Bars are available in a hugely diverse range of flavours that appeal to vapers of all ages, particularly younger consumers. In fact, more than half of all vapers aged 18 are using Elf Bars.
That said, these flavours can satisfy just about any palette, whether you’re looking for something exotic, sweet, sour, or traditional. We’ll cover this point in more detail later on in the article.
Elf Bars are very simple to use, and you don’t need to have any vaping experience to consume them.
They don’t contain any buttons or controls, so you don’t need to spend time setting them up or switching them on. You simply remove your Elf Bar from its packaging and inhale it, and you’re good to go.
Finally, Elf Bars come fully charged and filled with e liquid, meaning you don’t have to order liquid separately or worry about getting your pen up to full speed.
This point pretty much ties in with the one above. Elf Bars are hassle-free and don’t require maintenance or upkeep, even after you start using them.
As they’re disposable vaping devices, Elf Bars aren’t refillable. This is good news in the sense that you haven’t got to think about refilling coils or carrying around replacement e liquid in case they run out. Once they’re done, you just recycle them and buy another.
However, if you prefer refillable vapes, you can purchase the Elfa Pod, which comes with a rechargeable battery and prefilled pods. As such, it’s a greener, more sustainable alternative to single-use disposables.
Elf Bars are perfect if you’re looking for a cheap way to vape.
Referring to the point above about Elf Bars coming with all the bells and whistles when you buy them, this means that you don’t have to fork out for added extras. Everything you could want is in one place.
And although they’re not refillable, they don’t cost much at all in the grand scheme of things.
This point leads nicely to our next one.
However, the amount you spend on an Elf Bar over the course of, say, a month or a year depends on a couple of things.
Firstly, how many you buy. If you only purchase one singular Elf Bar on our website, the cost is £4.95. If you buy a batch of ten, the price works out at £3.90 per pen. So, in the long run, you’re making a big saving by choosing this option.
Another factor that influences the cost of an Elf Bar is your usage level. For example, if you’re an average vaper, you may only go through one pen every three to four days, in which case you’d be spending roughly £30 to £40 a month. However, if you’re a heavy vaper who uses up one Elf Bar every day, the cost will be closer to £120 a month.

That said, the flavour you go for depends on your personal preference. Whatever that is, you’ll likely find an Elf Bar that you’ll love, given how many choices there are.
We wrote a blog post with our picks of the 13 best Elf Bar flavours, which you can read here.
Elf Bars contain 2 milligrams of nicotine salt, equivalent to 20 milligrams of nicotine. Nicotine salt delivers a smooth throat hit – much smoother than freebase nicotine – and is best suited to people who have recently quit smoking cigarettes or are trying to quit.
However, 20mg is likely too strong for anyone who isn’t either a heavy smoker or a regular vaper. That’s why there’s a nicotine-free option – the Elf Bar 600 Disposable Kit is available in a strength of 0 mg and contains the same 550 mAh built-in battery and 2 ml of e-liquid as other Elf Bars.
Finally, an important disclaimer – if you ever see a product featuring the name Elf Bar that contains a greater nicotine strength than 20mg or more than 2ml of e liquid, it’s a counterfeit. UK regulations state that disposable vape products sold in this country should contain no more than 20mg/ml of nicotine and no more than 2ml liquid capacity. That’s why you should only purchase vapes from a verified retailer.
Each Elf Bar provides approximately 600 puffs, which is the equivalent of about 48 cigarettes.
Vapers take around 135 puffs a day as a rule of thumb, so an Elf Bar will last the average vaper four days before it runs out. However, if you’re an occasional vaper, you may be able to make an Elf Bar last a week – or potentially even longer.
On the other hand, if you’re a frequent vaper who’s used to smoking 20 or more cigarettes a day, you can expect to use up an Elf Bar in a couple of days or possibly even in just one day, as we covered in our answer to Question 4.
Once your Elf Bar has run out of liquid, you should:
However, you cannot put the battery into your household recycling bin. They need to be taken to your nearest battery recycling point, which you can find by clicking here and entering your postcode.
We cannot stress enough the importance of recycling your Elf Bar and its battery. The cost of producing disposable vapes is huge, as is the environmental impact of throwing batteries away.
If your Elf Bar batteries end up in a landfill site, or the ocean, the results can be disastrous. By not properly recycling your disposable vape batteries, you’re releasing harmful metals into the environment, such as lead, mercury, zinc, and lithium. In doing so, you risk endangering wildlife and contributing to serious air and water pollution.
As a spokesman for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs recently said: “Raw materials are finite, and each battery thrown away and lost to the system is a waste of valuable resources.”
If you’re especially eco-conscious, we would again recommend that you check out our range of Elfa Pods, the new refillable devices by Elf Bar. These pods, which are aimed at minimising battery waste, are the far more economical choice out of the two.
By now, you can appreciate why the Elf Bar is such a desirable product and why its stock continues to rise.
As we summarised in Point 3, Elf Bars are stylish, diverse, low-cost, and the perfect alternative to smoking. And they’re available in all the colours of the rainbow!
