This service offer support from qualified practitioners over a 12 week period. You will get advice about free Nicotine Replacement Therapy, you can choose two products, one will be supplied for 12 weeks and one for 6 weeks. If you need medication they will arrange for a 2 week prescription with your GP. You will get a follow-up call around week 26, if you've had a relapse, you can sign up for support again.
If the service gets oversubscribed they will prioritise support for the long-term ill and pregnant women and those that live with them.
There is free access to Allen Carr's Easyway online quit smoking seminar.

GP practices and other local venues.
Thurrock Council previously funded a free vaping starter pack. To get it you signed up at a participating vape shop (see website for participating vape shops), set a quit date and kept the shop's adviser up-to-date with how you were doing. The shop then passed on information about your progress to the Stop Smoking Service.
It is not clear if that service is still available, but they will at least give behavioural and motivational support to those who want to quit smoking with the aid of vaping, though you might need to provide your own device and consumables.
We were told that access to Allen Carr's Easyway online quit smoking seminar will continue as long as funding is available.
