How Long Does 2ml Of E-Liquid Last?

You might think that this question is easy to answer but that isn’t the case.

There are several factors, such as vaping style and equipment, that will influence how many puffs your e-liquid will give you and how many hours of vape time those puffs represent.

It's surprising just how many puffs you can get from just 2ml of vape juice. You could enjoy up to 600 puffs from 2ml of e-liquid. But that puff count could also end up being below 200.

It could be important to establish how much juice you are using or will use. Your consumption rate will impact your finances and will also dictate when you need to reorder your juice.

Here are the factors that will impact how long 2ml of e-liquid will last:

Coil resistance and power output

The lower the resistance of your coil, the hotter it can get and the more e-liquid it will vaporise each time you fire your device. In addition, the higher the output you set, if your device enables you to set your output, the higher the temperature that your coils will reach.

Coils with resistances of less than 1.0 ohm deliver impressive vapour but burn through a considerable amount of juice to create those clouds. Chasing clouds and using a high powered device will ensure that 2ml of e-liquid will give you fewer puffs than if you vaped using a device fitted with a high resistance coil.

Puff frequency

Clearly, the more intensively you vape, the quicker you will puff your way through your e-liquid bottle. Most vapers are ex-smokers who need to relieve their nicotine cravings. But e-liquids can be very tasty, and vaping can also be habit-forming. These factors can lead to vapers taking more puffs than they really need to keep their cravings at bay.

If you are concerned about your e-liquid consumption, it is worth thinking about the frequency of your puffs.

Nicotine cravings

As the frequency of your puffs will be at least partly dependent on your craving for nicotine, it makes sense to ensure that your e-liquids boast a suitable nicotine strength. If that strength is too low, you could find yourself chain vaping to gain the satisfaction you need. Choosing e-liquid with a higher nicotine strength might help to reduce the number of puffs you take.

It is also worth exploring nic salts flavours as salt nicotine gives you more immediate relief of your cravings. Many vapers feel that salt nicotine also delivers longer-lasting relief which could be crucial to e-liquid consumption.

Puff Duration

The number of puffs that you can get from 2ml of juice will also depend on exactly how long those puffs are. When you see estimates of the number of puffs that juice or pods could give you, these are generally based on the assumption that you will take short draws that last no longer than one second.

If you take longer draws, you will vaporise a greater amount of e-liquid every time you puff. This is one reason why 2ml of e-liquid could give you as many as 600 puffs or as few as 200 puffs.

Flavour

It might sound strange to say that the flavour type you have chosen could have a bearing on your e-liquid consumption. However, flavour does make a difference. If you find your e-liquid to be particularly tasty, you will inevitably vape more intensively. Sweet flavours including candy and dessert blends might cause you to take more puffs than you otherwise would.

You could consider switching to less indulgent flavours that don’t tempt you to chain vape for the taste. You know what it is like when you open a packet of crisps, and you can’t put that packet down until you have eaten every last crumb. E-liquid flavours could inspire the same behaviour!

Conclusions

It isn’t possible to establish exactly how long 2ml of e-liquid will last. What we can say is that if you are a moderate vaper and choose an MTL device with high resistance coils, then take short puffs only when you need to relieve your cravings, your juice will last for longer.

A 10ml bottle of high PG or 50:50 e liquid would last most vapers 2-4 days. But heavy vapers and cloud chasers with powerful kits that take frequent, lengthy inhales could find that their 10ml bottle of high VG juice lasts for mere hours rather than days.
