How long should a Vaporesso Xros pod last?

A Vaporesso Xros pod will typically last between one and two weeks. Its lifespan will be dependent on several factors including the frequency of your puffs, the resistance of the coil and your choice of e-liquid. The more intensively you vape, the quicker your coil will reach the end of its life. Low resistance coils (0.4ohm and 0.6ohm) require the use of high VG e-liquids which will tend to leave deposits on your coil that shorten its life.

When should I change my Xros pod?

There are numerous signs that it’s time to change your pod:

  • You are experiencing a burnt taste.
  • The device is spitting e-liquid.
  • Less vapour is being produced, even when you're vaping at the same power settings.
  • Your e-liquid is becoming darker in colour.

If you notice any of the above, you need to invest in a replacement pod. Replacing your pod as soon as its performance diminishes will ensure that you always benefit from the tastiest puffs.

Why are my Xros pods burning so quickly?

These are the most common reasons your Xros pods are burning so fast:

  • You have allowed the pod to become empty of e-liquid. The coil's wicking will then dry out and burn when you fire the device.
  • You’re using e-liquid with an unsuitable base for your coil. Low resistance coils require a base liquid ratio of at least 50VG.
  • You’re vaping at too high a wattage. Check the recommended wattage for your coil.
  • You are chain vaping. Taking puffs in quick succession does not allow sufficient time for wicking to absorb e-liquid.
  • Your pod or coil is faulty. It's rare for a coil to be faulty but it does happen.

How do I replace my Vaporesso Xros pod?

If you’re new to using Vaporesso products, here’s a step-by-step guide to replaceing your Vaporesso Xros pod:

  • Remove the pod from the device by firmly grasping it and pulling it upward then discard it.
  • Unwrap your new pod.
  • Remove the protective seal from the bottom of the new pod.
  • Gently remove the mouthpiece by firmly pressing against the flat sides and pulling it off.
  • Insert the e-liquid nozzle into the red fill port.
  • Carefully fill your pod with e-liquid until you reach the max level line.
  • Clip the mouthpiece back on.
  • Allow the pod to sit for a few minutes to ensure the coil is fully saturated with e-liquid before vaping.
  • Install the new pod to your device.

Once you’ve followed these steps, your Vaporesso Xros device will be ready for use with the new pod.

How many times can I refill a Vaporesso Xros pod?

The exact number of times you can refill your pod depends on the e-liquid you’re using and your wattage settings. High VG e-liquids and high output settings will result in a coil expiring more quickly. When a coil reaches the end of its life, you will need to stop refilling the pod and then install a replacement.

You should be able to refill your pod between 5 and 10 times before the performance of the coil has reduced to the point that you need to replace the pod.

How do I clean a Vaporesso Xros pod?

Here are some helpful tips:

  • Dispose of any excess e-liquid from your pod.
  • Rinse your pod under warm water to remove any residue that may have built up. Avoid using soap or detergents, as they can leave unwanted residue that will impact both taste and performance.
  • Gently shake out any excess water and use either a dry cotton pad or kitchen roll to dry your pod. Allow the pod to air dry completely for at least 24 hours to ensure it’s completely free from moisture.

You could also try the following:

  • Use a Q-tip to soak up any excess liquid in the dry activation hole.
  • Use a wet wipe to clean the contacts on the bottom of the pod and to remove liquid from the sides.
  • Submerge the pod and coil in hot water to break up residue.
  • Use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean your pod and/or coil.

The term ‘best’ is entirely subjective, of course, but the most popular Vaporesso Xros pods tend to be the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm pods.
